Terms of Service - Limbic Social

Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Limbic Social, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use our service.

Description of Service

Limbic Social is a social health club that facilitates structured video calls among members. We provide scheduling infrastructure, matching algorithms, and facilitation tools to help members maintain their social health through regular exercise.

Membership and Payment

Membership requires:

A valid email address and account registration
Payment of $40/month subscription fee
Completion of a 12-week bootcamp onboarding program
Setting and maintaining weekly availability

You may cancel your membership at any time through your account settings. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.

Member Conduct

As a member, you agree to:

Treat all members with respect and kindness
Maintain confidentiality about what others share on calls
Show up on time for scheduled calls or mark yourself as unavailable
Provide honest feedback through post-call surveys
Not use the service for commercial, networking, or promotional purposes
Not harass, abuse, or harm other members

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these conduct expectations.

Call Participation

Participation in calls is voluntary but expected. Members who consistently miss scheduled calls or fail to maintain minimum availability may have their membership reviewed. Video calls are conducted through third-party platforms (Zoom) and are subject to those platforms' terms of service.

Intellectual Property

All content provided through Limbic Social, including prompts, scripts, scheduling algorithms, and interface design, is owned by Limbic Social and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute our content without permission.

Privacy and Confidentiality

What is shared on calls should remain confidential. While we cannot control what individual members do, we expect all members to respect the privacy of others. Calls are not recorded by Limbic Social, though individual members are responsible for complying with applicable recording laws in their jurisdiction.

Disclaimers

Limbic Social is not a therapy service, mental health treatment, or medical service. We provide social exercise infrastructure. If you need professional mental health support, please consult a licensed therapist or counselor.

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that you will form friendships, though we structure the service to maximize that possibility.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Limbic Social shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use or inability to use the service.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms or for any other reason we deem appropriate. Upon termination, your right to use the service immediately ceases.

Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify members of material changes by email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
